The challenge
Fleet fuelling ran on cards, and a card is an object separate from the car: drivers lent them to each other, so what the system identified was a person, not a vehicle. Consumption could not be tied to the car that actually burned it, and the risk sat with the operator. At the pump it was worse — the attendant carried three devices: a card terminal for one bank, another for a second bank, and a separate one for fleet.

What we did
We replaced the card with an RFID tag bonded to the windscreen, and put the reader inside the bank terminals that were already in every station: the app was installed on the POS the attendant already carried, so three devices became one. The tag identifies the vehicle and its account, and the system releases the pump — without an identified vehicle, the pump does not dispense. The project was run by our co-founder as its manager.
The work
A card can be lent. A tag bonded to the windscreen cannot — take it off and it destroys itself.
